The narrow width of the plate heat exchanger channel makes it difficult for large-sized impurities in the slag flushing water to pass through, and high-density particles are prone to accumulate at the bottom of the heat exchanger, blocking the channel; Shell and tube heat exchangers are generally horizontal long straight horizontal flow channels, and the impurities in the slag flushing water are prone to sedimentation and blockage, requiring frequent cleaning and poor heat transfer efficiency.
Plate heat exchangers or shell and tube heat exchangers have obvious design flaws in the heat recovery of slag water waste heat, and corrosion, blockage, and heat exchanger cleaning have become the most headache problems in the use of slag water waste heat recovery heat pump systems. Some slag flushing water source heat pump manufacturers have made some improvements on this basis, such as equipping slag flushing water filtration devices - "anti blocking machines" - in the front section of the heat exchanger, but still need to filter the slag flushing water for heat exchange.
